Dear Fellow Elks,
The Kids Korner for the Heritage Festival was a huge success in large part to the two new attractions this year. We had laser tag and Furry Tails. Both vendors said they want to come back next year. We had plenty to keep the kids busy with sand art, face painting, mini manicures, hair color, Heidelberg University Chem Club slime, International students writing in their native language, and a DJ providing music.
I want to give a big shout-out to the president of the Heritage Festival committee, Melody Snyder, who is also an Elk. She did a great job coordinating and delegating to ensure the success of the entire Heritage Festival.
I want to say thank you to all of the Elks who pitched in and set up on Thursday and Friday, and to all those that volunteered their time on Saturday afternoon to help with the events and tear down once everything was done.
Saturday evening was live music with real Italian food and beer. Thank you to Steve Livoti for sharing his family recipe for meatballs with the crowd.
The breakfast Saturday morning before the parade was once again top notch, and I want to say thank you to Mike for a job well done.
We are still in need of a fully-funded project to repair and replace the balcony railing and two of the doors on the second floor. We have until December 2020 to use the grant funds or we lose them. I am asking for the members to come together and create a solution to our funding needs. Thank you for seeing the need and making a way to bring about the completion of this extremely important project.
Sincerely,
Michele Upton
Elks Motto: The faults of our fellow Elks we write in the sand, their virtues on the tablets of our hearts.
We still have quite a few members who have not paid dues yet this year. If you are one of them please take 2 minutes right now and click here to pay dues online.
Welcome to our newest member Donald Tuite!
Thank you to everyone who came to the Elks early Saturday to watch the parade and help out with kids' corner. Especially the Dinosaurs!!

Cub Scout Pack 471 has 45 active scouts, and we have recently become part of the Tiffin Elks 94 who is our new charter organization. We strive to train the youth in responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance through a wide range of outdoor activities, education programs, and helping with local community organizations.
The Scouting experience from elementary to college and everything in between, the Cub Scouts build knowledge that instills confidence in those who may find themselves without the necessary tools to make successful strides towards a promising future. As we look for vitality in our communities, we must be willing to put forth the commitment to ensure that we do not lose our most precious resource, our children.
